About the Neighbourhood Plan
Wythall Parish Council have set up a Steering Group to make a Neighbourhood Plan.
The concept of ‘Neighbourhood Plans’ was introduced under the Localism Act 2011 and they are fundamentally about giving rights to local communities about the type, location, size, pace and design of developments in their area.
We need everyone to contribute during the consultation process so that our Neighbourhood Plan reflects everyone’s views and needs, from teenagers to the elderly, in every household and business.
A Neighbourhood Plan is an opportunity for local people to come together to decide how we want our area to develop. It enables our local community to shape the future of our area by developing a shared vision to meet our needs and gives us the chance to:-
suggest how land might best be used in the future
decide what facilities and services are needed
identify assets that should be safeguarded for the future
protect our valued green spaces
influence what new buildings should look like
develop the parish over future years how we would like it to develop
